On August 26th, 2014, Embassy Libreville’s Community Liaison Officer Rosa Villaseñor and Sergeant Uddin of the Marine Security Guard Detachment visited the Centre d’Accueil Pour Enfants en Difficultes Sociales d’Angondje (CAPEDS) to donate toys, clothing, and supplies.
Under the supervision of the Ministry of Social Welfare and National Solidarity, CAPEDS is home to more than 50 children; victims of child trafficking, abuse, abandonment, or malnutrition.
During the visit, Villaseñor and Sergeant Uddin had the opportunity to spend time with some of the children living at the center.
“It was great to see the children running towards us as soon as the vehicle was parked!” said Villaseñor. “It was an amazing experience, to know that the support we can provide brought smiles to their faces.”
