U.S. Citizen Services

The Consular Section of the U.S. Embassy in Libreville provides the following routine services to American citizens: passport issuance and renewals, issuance of Consular Reports of Birth Abroad (CRBA) to American citizens born overseas, enrollment of American citizens, and notarials. It is also responsible for the issuance of travel warnings, public announcements and other travel information for Gabon and Sao Tome & Principe.

The Consular Section is open to American Citizens for routine services on Mondays and Fridays from 8:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.

Routine services are by appointment only. You must schedule your appointment online.

No appointment is necessary for emergency services for U.S. citizens.

In the event of an emergency, U.S. citizens may call +241-01-45-71-00 and ask for the Consular Section during working hours, or +241-07-38-01-71 after hours. The Department of State’s Office of Overseas Citizen Services can be reached from within the U.S. toll free at 888-407-4747.
